As the year draws to a close, we have been taking a moment to look back on what 2025 has meant for New Sheepfold Farm, and what a year it’s been.
From welcoming our local MP Rishi Sunak to the farm, to the continued encouragement and support from North York Moors National Park, we have felt incredibly backed every step of the way. The weather was kind for the animals, with the cows, sheep and goats, and their offspring (over 500) enjoyed a much drier year.
Sharing what we do on the farm with the next generation, in the form of school visits, has been one of the real highlights. We have grown our meat sales, met so many of you at farmers’ markets, hosted talks, and been truly honoured to receive awards that recognise the work we are so proud of. Winning the Northern Farmer Farm Diversification Award still feels incredible!
Behind the scenes, support has made all the difference from those who quietly champion us, to collaborations like Forge Valley Roasters, the Tack Room, and everyone who believes in local food done properly.
And looking ahead, we are excited (and very grateful) to have secured a further FIPL grant, allowing us to extend our farm vending & farm education, to keep building something sustainable for the future. Thank you to everyone who has visited, supported, encouraged, shared posts, bought from us, talked about us, and believed in what we’re doing. Here’s to 2026 and everything still to come ❤️
