We are really pleased to share that we have been awarded a Highly Commended in the VetPartners Sustainable Farming – Environmental Impact Award.
This recognition means a lot to us, especially because we were nominated by our brilliant vet Dawn Bowness at Clevedale Vets. Dawn has supported our work for a long time, and we are incredibly grateful that she took the time to put us forward for the award.
Over the last few years, we have been working hard to create more habitats across the farm – from planting a wildflower meadow and hedgerows to encourage pollinators, introducing ponds and scrapes for the wetland birds and choosing & breeding our animals carefully to increase resilience amongst other things. We have always believed that the best way to farm is by working with the land, not just using it.
Our aim has been to increase biodiversity and help nature thrive alongside food production. As with everything it is not always easy, but we truly believe that the future of farming – and feeding the nation – relies on a healthy, balanced environment.
We want to say thank you to VetPartners for this award, and especially to Dawn and the team at Clevedale Vets for their ongoing support.
This is a real boost and a motivation to keep going. There is always more to learn, and we are excited to keep exploring new ways to improve how we farm in a way that supports the land, wildlife, and future generations.
